Careers at Lemberg Group

We own the trucks, the trailers and the shop that maintains them, and we dispatch them ourselves from East Dundee, Illinois. That makes the jobs here operating jobs — whatever you decide in the morning, you can see the result of it the same day.

Open positions

Current Openings

Office and shop roles based at our terminal in East Dundee. Driving positions are posted separately — see further down this page.

No office or shop positions are posted at the moment

We hire steadily rather than in waves, and roles are usually filled from people who got in touch before the opening existed. If one of the teams below is what you do, send us your resume and we will keep it on file.

The teams

Who Works Here

Everything that keeps a load moving is handled in-house. These are the departments we hire into.

Dispatch

Planning loads, booking appointments and staying with a truck from pickup to delivery. The desk is staffed around the clock, so shifts cover evenings and weekends.

Safety & compliance

Driver qualification files, hours-of-service review, carrier packets, insurance certificates and anything that touches our DOT record.

Accounting

Invoicing, driver settlements and accounts payable — the paperwork that turns a delivered load into money moving in both directions.

Maintenance

Preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and repairs on our own equipment, in our own shop in East Dundee.

Driver recruiting

Sourcing and onboarding company drivers and owner-operators, and staying in touch with them once they are on the road.

Drivers and owner-operators

Looking for a Driving Job?

Company driver and owner-operator positions are not listed here. They have their own site, with the pay package, the home-time schedule and the application form in one place.

What to Put in the Email

There is no application form to fill in. An email does the job, and these four things are what we end up asking for anyway.

1

Which team

Dispatch, safety, accounting or the shop. If more than one fits, say so — we would rather know the range than guess from a job title.

2

What you have done

A resume if you have one. If you do not, a few lines about where you worked and what the job actually involved are enough to start a conversation.

3

Freight experience, if any

Useful, not required. A good deal of this work is learnable by someone who is organised and does not mind a phone that keeps ringing.

4

How to reach you

A phone number and the hours you can take a call. First conversations here usually happen by phone rather than by email.

Not Sure Which Team Fits?

Write to us anyway. Tell us what you have done and what you want to do next — we would rather read that than guess from a job title.
